Transcription Services Are Available!

My husband was on the phone with a client and they asked if he knew anyone who could provide transcription services for recorded customer interviews. I raised my hand and told him I knew court reporters who could be of assistance to his client. He (and his client) were thrilled; they didn’t realize an Oklahoma court reporter could help them with their business need.

If it’s recorded, Steno Services can transcribe it!

Okay, that’s a slight exaggeration. The recording has to be of a quality that a transcriptionist can understand. In today’s tech savvy world, that’s pretty easy to do. I use a Sony digital recorder for important client conversations and have recorded in busy restaurants, coffee shops, and from my home office with great results.

It’s important to note that if you’re recording even the simplest of conversations, get permission to record from the other party lest you end up in a bit of a legal mess later. Check local laws if you’re not sure what you’re allowed to do.

We’ve completed a variety of transcriptions.

Like I said, if it’s recorded, we can transcribe it! That includes verbatim transcriptions of dash cameras, home recordings, court recordings, police interviews, shareholder meetings, homeowners association (HOA) meetings, and other business and civic events. We can also provide lightly edited versions that eliminate umms, ahs, and other insignificant non-words.

Benefits of hiring a transcriptionist.

Hiring a transcriptionist means your team can focus on the conversation that’s happening without having to worry about writing down important points or keeping track of who said what. If it’s a legal matter, you can capture testimony at a deposition to support your case strategy. It’s all right there in a recording and transcript.

Please keep in mind our transcripts are delivered within two weeks and can be sent via paper or searchable PDF format. If you need it sooner, please let us know when you place your order.
